IELTS
The International English Language Testing System is a standardised English test to demonstrate proficiency in English for non-native speakers. The score is widely used and accepted in institutions in USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany and other European Nations. The test is jointly governed by British Council and IDP.
Structure of the test:
There are two types of exam in IELTS- General and Academic. Both the test comprises of four section. Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The total time for IELTS exam is 2 hours and 45minutes.The time allotted for each section is as follows:
- 60 minutes for Reading
- 60 minutes for Writing
- 40 minutes for Listening
- 15 minutes for Speaking
The validity of IELTS score is 24 months. The test is conducted in authorised IELTS centres around the world.
